Mother's Day: the Kailis team mums #1 By Rachel Farag 08.05.2018 2301 Views

The mums of the Kailis team started their Mother's Day season with a special high tea with their kids.

Emma Kerley, Senior Brand & Marketing Manager and mum to Elliot (11 years) and Elizabeth (9 years).

Elliot and Elizabeth:
What does your mum do at Kailis?
Our mummy is the Marketing Manager and she loves working for Kailis. At work, she designs cool logos and organises awesome things like photoshoots with beautiful models.

What kind of person is your mum?
Our mummy is lovely and very special and we love her lots and lots. She is kind hearted and funny.

What makes your mum special?
She is always there for us when we need her. She always thinks about us before herself and spends lots of her time watching us play water polo and swimming. She has a funny accent. She always looks nice and wears nice clothes and pearls.

What is your mum good at?
Organising fun things during the school holidays and weekends. Making nachos. Spending time with us. Choosing movies to watch on Netflix.

Emma Kerley:

What would you like your children to know about you?
All I want for Elliot and Elizabeth is for them to live a full and content life, to know it's right to follow your heart, to have no regrets and to trust your decisions. Whatever life journey they choose I will always be there for them and believe in them.

What is your favourite thing about being a mother?
Seeing how determined and driven they are when it comes to their sporting commitments. How they are becoming more confident and independent – however difficult it is for me to let them go! And watching them fall asleep.

What is your biggest challenge as a mother?
Ensuring we are always there for them – not having family support here in Australia is, on occasion, challenging! Giving them independence. Ensuring they maintain a close and loving relationship with grandparents despite the distance as the grandparents live in the UK where I am originally from.

What would you consider your greatest achievement as a mother?
That Elliot and Elizabeth grow up knowing I will be always be there for them, whatever life challenges they face. They understand that life is about having fun, following your dream and focusing on what makes you happy.

Motherhood is:
Amazing, rewarding, emotional and stressful. It doesn't come naturally to me and I find it hard work but I wouldn't change it for the world.
